Another perfect Martin Luther King hookey day. Some of the best powder I’ve ever snowboarded.

3.4 miles round trip, and the temperature was a solid 30 degrees! Easily the best snowshoeing day of my life. We had a blast!

Cannon made me take him snowshoeing yesterday, and then stopped to take a photo.

Here our baby has transformed from a dot to a gummy bear, and now to a tiny human. As you can see, the baby already has Steph’s nose!

Meet Cannon, our newest addition. He is a male Australian Shepherd and was born on 7/7/09. So far he is a great puppy, and has no problem walking off leash. He is also getting pretty good at playing fetch. Now if only Saydee doesn’t think he’s her latest/expensive chew toy. Wish us luck!

Today I decided to do something different, I decided to actually bake dog biscuits for Saydee (our Husky Hybrid - very low carbon foot print).
Here is a list of ingredients:
3.5 Cups of Whole Wheat Flour
1 Cup of Cornmeal
.25 Cup Pancake Mix
1 Tablespoon of Honey
1 Tablespoon of Maple Syrup
1.25 Cups of Beef Broth
.75 Cups of Peanut Butter - unless your dog has a peanut allergy
Mix the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, you will want the dough to be pretty dry. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Drop the dough blob on the floor (clean/sweep first), then with a wine bottle you roll out the dough to .25″ thick. I went to Michael’s and bought a dog bone cookie cutter, but you can use a cup at the house to make cookie shapes. Next… use the cookie cutter. Peel back the excess dough and place the biscuits on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Put it in the oven for 20-30 minutes (depending on how hard you like your dog biscuits). Then once they cool down you can shove them down your dogs throat. Let me know what your pooch thinks of them, my son likes them, and he doesn’t care for much. This batch makes approximately 70 biscuits. Photos to come, now crack the wine and enjoy.

Cameron had his first soccer game today, actually it’s tomorrow as the girls Softball Team had the same field scheduled. Either way, I was still able to snap this awesome photo of my boy. Too bad I forgot to have him untuck his shirt. It’s all good though. What a cool kid!

Yes he is named after Ozzy Osborne, however he was not named by us. The owners prior to us called him Ozzy. He was born on March 27th, 2009, and when we got him he weighed a hefty 425 grams. So far he is a very good bird, and has completed the cycle (3 cats, 2 dogs, and now 1 bird). He does not keep us up at night, nor does he squawk in the morning. He loves to cuddle (right under your armpit), or in your shirt. I think he has taken quite a liking to Steph and considers her his owner. I think it helps that she has long hair to bury/nest himself into. We look forward to years and years of his delightful little pleasures. Welcome Ozz-Man!

I had to post this one, as the story is pretty funny. First we drive by this covered bridge and Steph makes me turn around so she can take a photo. I was crabby, so I made a big deal out of it. She runs out of my car and up onto this bridge, snaps a few shots, and then runs back to the truck. While inside the truck she says to me “I took a photo of me for you Bubba!” I thought that was pretty cute, but look at the doozy she comes up with. I’m just messing around though, as I think she looks pretty darn cute. I love you de Boom Bubba.
