Tampa • Headshot and portrait studio in Ybor City
My Tampa headshot studio is inside the Kress Contemporary building in Ybor City, right next door to the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. It is a quiet, controlled space with the same lighting and backdrop every visit, so your headshot or portrait looks consistent whether you come in alone or your whole company does.

Why come to the studio
I photograph at the office all over the country, and the studio is where I do my most careful work. Everything is set the way I want it, and you get my full attention.
Lighting, backdrop, and camera position stay the same from visit to visit. That is how a new hire photographed next spring matches the teammate photographed last year.
No audience and no rush. I coach your posture and expression and show you the images as we go, so you leave knowing you got the shot.
Ybor City is minutes from downtown Tampa, with free two-hour lots a short walk from the door. The parking guide below covers every option.

Headshots and portraits
The studio handles two kinds of work. Headshots are about the professional first impression. Portraits are about telling more of your story.
Clean, confident images for the places people look you up first. Examples include:
A little more room to show who you are, for your website, your bio, and your brand. Examples include:
Not sure which fits? Tell me where the image will be used and I will recommend the right look before you arrive.
For companies
If I photograph your team on-site, the studio is how you keep the page current. New hires, people who were out on the day, and remote employees come to Ybor and get the same lighting, backdrop, and framing as everyone else.
Consistency builds trust, and it works across states because the look stays the same everywhere I shoot. Learn more about corporate headshots and my nationwide on-site service.

There is plenty of metered street parking directly on 7th Ave and the surrounding streets. It tends to be a bit more expensive than the lots.
Rain tip: bring an umbrella and a rain jacket. Rain spots take a while to dry on clothing and they do show up in photos.
Make a day of it
You do not have to rush off. Great food, coffee, and bakeries are right outside my studio door, so you can turn a headshot session into a good afternoon on historic 7th Avenue.
My one tip: save the coffee and the meal for after your session, so nothing ends up on your shirt or in your teeth.

Yes. It is the easiest way to keep a team page consistent. New hires and remote teammates get the same lighting, backdrop, and framing as your on-site team, even if I photographed the rest of the group in another city. See corporate headshots.
Solid colors that fit well usually photograph best. Avoid busy patterns and large logos, and bring a backup option. My what to wear guide has the details.
Bring an umbrella and a rain jacket. Rain spots take a while to dry on clothing and show up in photos, so give yourself a few extra minutes to dry off.
