Cybersecurity Team Headshots in Tampa: Frame Security Case Study

On a Monday, Frame Security reached out. By Wednesday, I was setting up lights in a common area in Rocky Point, Tampa. It was not a true emergency, but a growing team with a deadline does not leave much room for a long planning process. Here is how those cybersecurity team headshots came together, and what I would tell any security company that needs a matching set of photos fast.

Who is Frame Security?

Frame Security is a cybersecurity company built around what it calls human risk security. Its AI-driven platform helps organizations defend against social engineering and deepfake attacks by working with the people who get targeted. The company is headquartered in New York and Tel Aviv, and it launched publicly in May 2026 with $50 million in funding. Its Tampa team is growing, which is why the portraits needed an update.

What did Frame Security want from their team headshots?

Frame had already done a round of headshots with another photographer, with hair and makeup on site. The feedback I heard was that the images felt too polished and too glam for the team. They wanted something more authentic, and they wanted the new photos to match the background from the earlier set.

The scope was 20 individual headshots plus a group photo of the whole team.

How do you match a headshot background from another photographer?

This was the part I cared about most. When a team page mixes photos from two different sessions, the background shift shows up right away, even if everyone is smiling. So I took the background color from the earlier photos and matched it exactly. The new portraits sit next to the old ones with no visible seam.

If your cybersecurity team headshots need to match an existing set, send me a few of the current photos. I can match the background so new hires blend in with the people already on your site, and nobody has to retake the whole team.

What does an on-location headshot setup look like in a coworking common area?

Frame’s team works on the same floor as the Venture X Tampa Westshore coworking space at Rocky Point, so they gave me a common area to work in. I did not need a studio. I needed floor space and an outlet.

The setup was simple and repeatable. I used a large key light, a kicker hairlight for separation, and tape on the floor so each person knew exactly where to stand. Everyone lands in the same spot, so the lighting and framing stay consistent from the first person to the last.

I shot tethered to a laptop with instant, retouched image review on site. Each person looked at the screen with me and picked the frame they liked best, and we could adjust small things like micro-expressions in the moment instead of hoping for the best. The same approach works for law firms and other professional teams.

How long does a cybersecurity team headshot session take?

I was on site for three and a half hours, including setup and breakdown, for 20 headshots and the group photo. A smaller team takes less time. For a team of about 20, plan on roughly a half day of your calendar, and most of that is setup and breakdown that does not interrupt anyone’s work.

Why do cybersecurity team headshots need to look authentic?

Security buyers do their homework. They read your team page, your LinkedIn profiles, and your conference bios before they ever book a call, and every one of those has a face on it. A company that sells trust has a simple job in those photos, which is to look like real, capable, approachable people.

Some teams want a styled look with hair and makeup, and that can work well. Many security teams want the opposite. For cybersecurity team headshots, I light for natural skin and real expressions, and I tell you up front which direction we are going so everyone knows what to expect.

Why is Tampa a good place for cybersecurity team headshots?

Tampa Bay has built a real cybersecurity scene. Tampa Bay Wave runs the CyberTech|X accelerator, the annual CyberBay Summit gathers the community at the JW Marriott Tampa Water Street, and companies including ReliaQuest, OPSWAT and Rapid7 have grown here. A lot of those teams are adding people faster than their photos can keep up.

Rocky Point sits within the Westshore business district, about a mile from Tampa International Airport, with easy access from the Courtney Campbell Causeway and I-275. I photograph teams in Westshore, Rocky Point, downtown Tampa, Water Street and Ybor City, and I come to your office so nobody loses half a day to a studio trip.

Do you photograph cybersecurity teams outside Tampa?

Yes. I travel for teams across the country, and teams of about 20 or more are the best fit. Frame Security is headquartered in New York, and I photograph teams in New York and other cities as well. See my page on cybersecurity headshots for how it works, or my on-site corporate headshots page for the cities I cover.
